At Trinity Lutheran Church we are unashamedly and joyously focused on young people and the families that raise them!
New Life is a worship service with upbeat music, casual dress, relevant messages, caring people!
Sonny Larsen, Trinity's Modern Worship Leader, as well as Lauren Piper, Lawerence Gilbert, and others lead us in worship with music that both young people and
adults will enjoy - primarily with acoustical guitar. Here is basically how it works:
- Families (adults and children) gather in the sanctuary for a time of praising God, prayer, and seeing a lesson illustration (a puppet drama, artistic object lesson, video sequence).
After the illustration children go to KIDZ ROCK (Sunday School). There they will have a discussion and teaching time followed by a craft, game, or group activity that reinforces the Bible story.
- Families with children 0-2+ish also have the option to leave their little ones, before worship begins, in TOT ROCK (nursery class) where they will be blessed, prayed for, and read a Bible story. Local area pagers are available for parents upon request.
- Adults hear an uplifting message, relevant to the adult modern world, featuring the same Bible story. This way, besides getting something they need, parents can feel informed able to talk with their kids about the Bible. Worship will end at 10:30 followed by fellowship downstairs (coffee, juice, treats) where parents will meet their kids when they are finished at KIDZ ROCK (10:45).
