Trinity's Current Ministries
Our current programs include Children's Activities, Youth Ministries, Adult Felloship and Outreach, as well as various Music programs. Below you will find information about all of these and more that are offered here at Trinity.

Childrens Activities

Tot Rock - a program for infants 0-2 years held on Sunday mornings
from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Led by caring adults, infants enjoy stimulating activities, creative
playtime, and hear God's word through prayer in a nurturing and loving environment.
Kidz Rock - an upbeat, fun and exciting opportunity for children ages
2-12 to learn about God's unconditional love. Held on Sunday mornings from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.,
age-appropriate Kidz Rock is Trinity's version of Sunday School. In small groups, children are led by
experienced and caring adults as they participate in music, drama, and crafts.
Alleluia Kids - a weekly children's music program for children 2nd
through 6th grades is held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Led by Trinity's talented
Associate in Ministry, Jean Johnson, and Linda Bitcon, children enjoy singing, drama and bells, and
have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned in worship throughout the year. A great
way for children to build skill and self-confidence!
Other Childrens activities - for ages 4th -6th grades that focuses on
the kind of relationship that God wants us to have with our families, each other, the environment and
Him. Activities include way-cool lock-ins, movie nights and holiday parties!
Vacation Bible School - for young people ages 2-12 that provides
focuses on the kind of relationship that God wants us to have with our families, each other, the
environment and Him.
Blessed Beginnings Preschool - where children learn kindergarten
readiness and social skills in a Christian environment from certified and experienced teachers. Call 934-5200 for information, class schedules and openings.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

Youth group - provides a safe and caring environment for students in 10th through 12th grades to celebrate what it means to be God's people while working and playing together. Challenges and opportunities are provided for young people to grow in relationship with others and God. Each summer, young people of TLC participate in various events/trips such as the ELCA National Youth Gathering and celebrate the love of Jesus with thousands of other young people from around the world.
Confirmation - for 7-9th graders seeking to learn about the good news of God's love for us through Jesus Christ. Young people involved in this small group Wednesday night ministry receive instruction from experienced and compassionate adults and develop lifelong caring relationships with other students as they discuss and apply the truth of God's word in their daily lives.

ADULT FELLOWSHIP AND OUTREACH

Adult Bible Study - held on Sunday mornings from 9:45 a.m. ? 10:45 a.m., Adult Forum provides an opportunity for adults to deepen their understanding of the Bible and their relationship with God.
Men's Breakfast where men of Trinity unite in fellowship, dialogue and service to others.
Women's Ministries - small group networks where women discover and utilize their spiritual strengths. Held at various times each week, women meet to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Bible and provide service to others.
Stephen Ministry - through one-on-one caring relationships, those who are hurting receive the love and support they need.
Community Projects - over the years Trinity has provided assistance and financial support for:
~ Christmas gifts through programs such as the Angel Tree Prison Ministry program
~ CROP Walk for World Hunger
~ Local Food Pantries (we provided volunteers and donations to help make food available to the hungry in Omaha)
World Relief - through Trinity's participation in the ELCA?s Lutheran World Relief, our contributions have helped with:
~ Providing quilts, school kits and layettes
~ Disaster Relief (we have helped Afghan refugees, Peru?s earthquake victims, and victims of devastating tornados in Nebraska)
~ Adoption Services (we helped 12,000 families with adoptions and 11,000 children receive foster care)
~ Missionary Work (we help support missionaries overseas)

MUSIC PROGRAMS

Opportunities abound to share musical talents in worship. All ages are welcome in choirs, handbell
ensembles, small groups or as soloists.
- Trinity Ringers : rehearse Mondays, 6:00 p.m. ? 7:00 p.m.
- Chancel Bells : rehearse Mondays, 7:00 p.m. ? 8:15 p.m.
Handbell ensembles for adults and teens who play for worship once a month.
Groups also provide programs for community groups on occasion.
- Alleluia Kids : meets Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. ? 7:15 p.m.
An arts group for 2nd through 6th graders. They lead in worship at least once a
month.
- Chancel Choir : rehearse Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
An adult mixed choir that leads worship three Sundays each month.

Praise Team - There are a number of ways to become involved
in this exciting ministry:
- Music team : sing, or play a musical instrument
- Sound team : provide sound for a Worship Band; run audio.
- Visual team : provide PowerPoint presentations for worship
through a laptop computer, video editing and running a DVD player.
